The journey of creation.

My painting begins with a brush and some paint. The brush moves, and I listen. I love to explore color, mixing as I go and seeing where the paint takes me. I layer collage materials, old photos, paper scraps, interesting texture and image transfer. I use various mark making tools to draw lines, shapes and indecipherable writing. Inspiration often comes from my travels, especially the sea, natural landscapes and centuries old architecture.

I live in suburban St. Paul, Minnesota. I recently retired from a full and rewarding career creating arts learning opportunities for all kinds of folks, young and old. (Check out eaganarthouse.org for more info.)

I love to travel, cook, bake break, science fiction, movies, British crime dramas and spending time with my husband and three grown sons (and our 11 year old red lab, Rose).
