My paintings begin with a brush and some paint. The brush moves, and I listen. I love to explore color, mixing as I go and seeing where the paint takes me. I layer collage materials, old photos, paper scraps, interesting texture and image transfer. I use various mark making tools to draw lines and shapes. Inspiration often comes from my travels, natural landscapes and centuries old architecture.

I live in suburban St. Paul, Minnesota. I am retired from a rewarding career creating arts learning opportunities for all kinds of folks, young and old. And now I get to spend more time making art and exploring on my own!

I love to travel (especially to the sea), cook, bake bread, science fiction, movies, British crime dramas and spending time with my husband and three grown sons (and our 11 year old red lab, Rose).
